Meet the Family
Paul Fisher
Paul struggles to find his place at his new school. He is handicapped by a vision problem, but it doesn't stop him from pursuing his love of soccer- that is until a paperwork issue sidelines him. With no other choice, he transfers to a rougher, lower income school in order to get a second chance.
Paul's Mom (Mrs. Fisher)
Although she means well, Paul's mom is overprotective and at times, nosy of Paul's business. She seems to be keeping a secret but is too busy trying to adjust the family to a new school, new home, and new area.
Paul's Dad (Mr. Fisher)
Paul's dad may very well be the epitome of a "sports parent". He is often more concerned with Erik's performance on the field than what is happening with his own family. However, after an accident at Paul's school, he is overwhelmed with the balance between work, family, and his football dreams for his son.
Erik Fisher
Paul's older brother is destined for collegiate success- as long as he can keep sinking 50-yard field goals. However, there is something "not right" about him that Paul can't seem to place. Erik's distance from his family and his interactions with Paul go beyond sibling rivalry or dysfunction- but something dark and sinister.
Victor Guzman
Victor is the bad-boy of Tangerine Middle School and their star soccer player. Quick-tempered and hot-headed, Paul has to walk on egg shells around Victor but eventually wins his respect on the soccer field. However it is all put into jeopardy when one of their good friends meets tragedy due to Paul's brother.
Theresa Cruz
Theresa is quiet and soft-spoken. She catches Paul's eyes immediately at Tangerine Middle, but Paul is going to have a tough time winning not only her over, but her protective brother and friends as well.
Joey Costello
Joey is one of the first kids to welcome Paul to the neighborhood. However, tragedy strikes the Costello family leaving Joey to find a new sense of idenity. He tries going to Tangerine Middle with Paul, but the clash of cultures is too much for Joey and causes a rift with Paul.
